Apprentice Tattoo Artist

Meet Perry

Perry is an apprentice tattoo artist at The Gilded Hollow, where he's focused on building a strong foundation across a wide range of tattoo styles. Rather than specialising too early, his goal is to become a well-rounded artist, developing the skills and experience to take on all types of projects with confidence.

He's particularly fascinated by Japanese tattooing, drawing inspiration from traditional irezumi, Japanese folklore and the stories behind its iconic imagery. Outside the studio, inspiration often comes from everyday experiences, whether that's a day at Warwick Castle, a tattoo convention or a great film, all of which influence the sketches and flash designs he creates.

Perry enjoys working closely with his clients, listening to their ideas and developing them into tattoos that feel personal. He believes getting tattooed should be an enjoyable experience, and hopes every client leaves feeling they've spent time with someone approachable, easy to talk to and genuinely passionate about their work.

Looking to the future, Perry hopes to make large-scale projects, particularly sleeves and back pieces, a regular part of his work. Away from tattooing, he's a keen motorcyclist, a film enthusiast and a self-confessed big kid who loves theme parks and rollercoasters.
